Every Blue Shield plan is designed to help you discover the healthiest version of yourself. Choose from the options below to get started on your path to better health.
With our Access+ HMO® plan, you will only pay a fixed copayment for most services. You'll also be asked to select a primary care physician (PCP) to coordinate your care and refer you to specialists and hospitals within their medical group.
Full PPO Split Deductible 20-500 80/60
Our PPO plan gives you the freedom to choose doctors and hospitals from our broad PPO network and the flexibility to seek care outside the network. You can also self-refer to specialists. However, you’ll usually pay less for services from PPO in-network providers. PPO plans may include a deductible (amount paid before insurance kicks in), copayment (a set amount paid for a visit), or coinsurance (a percentage of the cost of a visit).
While our PPO plan gives you the flexibility to choose providers in and out of our PPO network, the new Virtual Blue benefits expand your healthcare choices by offering comprehensive virtual care options.
With Virtual Blue benefits, you get unlimited $0 virtual visits with virtual-only doctors from the top 50 U.S. medical schools. No referrals are needed. You can receive preventive, primary, specialty, and mental health care-all from the comfort of home-or anywhere in the U.S. Same-day appointments are often available for certain services. Full PPO Savings Two-Tier Embedded Deductible 1750/3500/3500 with Value Formulary
Our Full PPO Savings plan gives you the freedom to choose doctors and hospitals from our broad PPO network and the flexibility to seek care outside the network. You can also self-refer to specialists. However, you’ll usually pay less for services from PPO in-network providers. PPO plans may include a deductible (amount paid before insurance kicks in), copayment (a set amount paid for a visit), or coinsurance (a percentage of the cost of a visit).
The Full PPO Savings plan is a high deductible health plan (HDHP). This means you’ll have to meet a higher deductible before services are covered. But you’ll usually pay a lower employee contribution rate. This HDHP is paired with a Health Savings Account (HSA), which allows you to use pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to help pay for qualified medical expenses. Money added to an HSA is yours to keep, and there is no use it or lose it penalty.
